Over the years, I have been fortunate to have the opportunity to work with some of the finest mental health clinicians in Southern California. The team we have today represents the "best of the best" in each of their respective specialty areas.  AMHA is built on a foundation of unconditional positive regard for the people we serve.  The people we see are treated with respect and a genuine, caring concern not easily found these days. In other words, we at AMHA Medical Group make every attempt to put the Care back into Health Care...

That feeling doesn't stop with the patient. What we know is that there is a family, a friend or even an employer usually involved with getting someone the help they need. We work overtime for these people too. We believe that complete communication is imperative to the total process. In fact, we have recently added a Client Relations Department whose sole purpose is to ensure that this process takes place as smoothly as possible.    

So, when times are troubled and you become concerned for yourself, an employee or a loved one, remember us. When you need help, we're here.

Born and raised in Los Angeles, Dr. Pratty completed his undergraduate education in 1977 (with honors) at the University of Southern California. Dr. Pratty finished his formal training in 1987 as the Chief Resident at Harbor-UCLA with a specialty in child, adolescent and adult psychiatry and sub-specialties in Treatment Resistant Depression and Psychiatric Utilization Review. Dr. Pratty is also a Board Certified Addictionologist and has participated in a number of clinical research trials.

In 1987, Dr. Pratty founded Azimuth Mental Health Associates, a small, private group of clinicians treating the entire spectrum of psychiatric disorders. Since then, Dr. Pratty's practice has attracted a roster of over 25 of the finest mental health clinicians and a number of support staff. His clinical expertise led to a succession of offices being acquired throughout the Southern California area. He has held medical directorships at College Hospital of Cerritos, Bellflower Doctors Hospital, Charter Hospital of Long Beach and Suncrest Hospitals. His involvement with CareMore Medical Group has helped them become one of the fastest growing health plans in Southern California.
