AMHA Medical Group in Torrance is a private, outpatient based group of leading Psychiatrists, Psychologists, MFCC's, LCSW's and Psychotherapists. Under the direction of James Pratty, M.D., the founder of AMHA Medical Group, this multi-disciplinary team of mental health professionals has had the opportunity to play an active role in the growth and recovery of all kinds of people. We have the opportunity, because we believe that every one in need of our help is important, and deserves to be treated that way.
With the resources of our team, we are able to meet the individual needs of youth, men, women and families experiencing the turmoil brought on by common situations such as: an addicted loved one, an undeniable depression, or the grief of loss.

Sylvia G. --- Rosie works for AMHA as the clinic receptionist. She brings to AMHA over 15 years experience working in the front office. She enjoys working with people and her demeanor with our patients reflects this. Sylvia handles all front office concerns, including answering and directing all calls, scheduling patient appointments, greeting visitors and orientating new patients. She is fluent in both English and Spanish.
Archie M. --- Archie works for AMHA as clinic nurse and clinical care coordinator. He graduated from California State University Fullerton in 1996 with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Psychology and is also a Licensed Vocational Nurse. He has worked in the mental health field for the past 17 years, the last 12 of those with Dr. Pratty in the clinical setting at College Hospital Cerritos. Archie handles all clinical concerns, including new patient appointments and intakes, questions on medications, and medical records. He is fluent in both English and Tagalog.
Sandy L. --- Sandy works for AMHA as the office manager. She has vast experience in office management and has faithfully been with AMHA since 1994. Sandy is in charge of overall office operations; her primary responsibilities include utilization review management, handling billing questions/concerns, account receivables’, credentialing, forming new business relations, and staffing. She is fluent in both English and Spanish.
